Sorry for the "too-quiet" CD player! It's not an exact cover, just playing along to a groove I really enjoy.

Hey Jessica...very nice job.
Yeah, the CD player is a little quiet but most importantly, I can hear you drumming very well. Did you add another cymbal to your kit? It's the one right in the middle. What cymbal is that as I can't quite read the name? Is it Zildjian?
By the way, if you don't mind a suggestion that I have recently learned & TRY to do is I think you play like me, using your entire forearm? I have been advised so many times lately to drum using my wrists. Helps you play faster & is also easier on your arms. Makes it easier to play too. Just a tip - I am still trying to learn to play like that but keeping automatically falling into my 'forearm pattern.
I will keep working on it though.

Take care Jessica,
KIm :)

Oooo - very nice job!
I made my husband watch it and he commented that he couldn't even see your hands, you were moving so fast :) Nice beat, excellent fills. I can tell you liked the music. Glad you posted that one.

It took me a while to get to see it - my computer's refusing to show any videos when I come in through Google - all I get is a blank box with a little icon in the upper left hand corner. My son fixed it last time by deleting all the temp files, but it's not coming back this time. I had to go in through Firefox which is not as good for these videos, but I'm glad I persevered. Really enjoyed the drumming.

I am shamelessly trying to get places to play. Had my yearly eval with our HR guy today at work and he asked how the drumming was coming - and I said we were starting to play out "you know, birthday parties, BBQs" (I didn't tell him only one of each so far LOL) Told him if he was planning any parties or knew of anyone, we'd play for free right now, but it wouldn't be long till we would be playing out for money. I know - the bold approach. Hey - why not?

We have our "school concert" Sunday night on the big stage. Hoping to hold my own so we sound good. Then we'll have to get another target in our sights. I want to always have something coming up that we can shoot for. My instructor's going to start me learning some jazz drumming. I've read from a lot of articles that if you can play credible jazz drums it helps in all areas of drumming. Of course, I am starting with the basic, basic, basics, but you've got to start somewhere. Which reminds me - gotta get some good practice in before it gets too late. I'm trying to get in longer periods of practice (which isn't hard, because longer than 10 minutes on some nights would be a longer period of practice lately).

Keep drumming - you're getting to be awesome!!!
