This is a first attempt at the beginning of this song-it took some time to figure out this half time shuffle, and it's still not close to being really right. I appreciate John Bonham's drumming more than ever. He adapted this from the Purdie shuffle, created by Bernard Purdie. I learned this from a great YouTube clip that had just the drum part. To see it, type in "Fool in the Rain", and find the drum outtakes, uploaded by someone named stevethrasher-sorry I couldn't post the link.

Good for you Jessica - awesome job getting that one down. That's a hard one - I don't have that one down at all. Maybe you can give me some lessons!! haha!! (We both know how much we hate lessons)!!
Makes me realize what a little patience & practice can accomplish!
Thanks for posting this & keep up the great work!

Really good !

But don't forget to be relax ;) The key : practice first as slow as possible to really see the connections between all parts of the groove : bass drum, snare ect... and when they hit or don't hit together. Then go faster and faster, but accelerate with landings of tempo from 10 or 20 points on a metronome each time. And go faster than the tempo you're going to use. And then going back to the real tempo you'll fell a little more relax.

And keep on the good job ;)
