I received a lovely email from Violet Lim from Heavybag Media in Los Angeles telling me about a Dixon drumming competition. Dixon drums are sold in many mom and pop music stores around the country, as well as the big chains. I've seen some pretty impressive drum solos posted to the Drummergirl website, so I encourage you all to participate in the competition.

The Rock 'n' Roll Camp for Girls started in Portland, OR in 2007 and New York got its version, the Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls, in 2004.
