- I always wanted to play drums but my parent did not think it was appropriate. When I was 21 and on my own I found a drum teacher and bought my first kit. 2 years later I was playing in clubs in my first original hard rock band. Now I'm the drummer for a Bay Area cover band call Danger Girl.

Jessica G. said… - Hi Trish! I just listened to Danger Girl-"I Need to Know" and "Middle of the Road"-you're really solid! What type of cymbals do you use-they sounded really good. Like you, I didn't touch the drums until adulthood, but unlike you, I didn't stick with it. It's only within the last seven months that I've dedicated myself to it. I won't stop for anything now. My name is Cherese Adams and I am the Next Great Drummer Promotions Assistant. We will be in your area this Saturday at the Sam Ash Store in Torrance CA. This event is for ages 16 and up, a drum off competition where the winner of each catagory goes home with a prize for the Next great drummer title of their level in that city. As you review the flyer below there are opportunites to promote your school, business, corporation, studio etc at this event.
