What is your drumming history:

Self-taught drummer. I tried to join the percussion group in grade school band, but they had no room for me. I ended up playing trumpet for a few years, but played drums to the radio and Mtv at home. My first pair of drumsticks were my mother's wooden cooking spoons! I taught myself by watching videos, but had a hard time adapting because I'm a left-handed drummer and didn't know the difference. Then, I saw Phil Collins play, and the rest is history! If it weren't for him being left-handed and showing me the way, I might not have continued drumming. I have been drumming ever since and love it!

1. Basix 5-piece with Zildjian/Sabian cymbals, DW 5000 bass pedal, Pork Pie "Little Squealer" 5x12 snare, Tama firecracker snare, Pearl timbale, Vic Firth sticks

2. Gretsch 4-piece Catalina Club kit with Sabian ride/crash and Zildjian 8" K-splash cymbals
