How long have you been drumming?

What is your drumming history:

I have always been fascinated by drumming and drummers, and I remember admiring my uncle who played the drums in a local band when I was younger. But somehow I always told myself that I couldn't do it. That I wasn't coordinated enough and whatnot. (Typical for girls, sadly?)

But here I am now, 25 years old, finally taking up drumming. And it's going swell! I have my own electronic drumset at home, and have been practising vigorously for about 6 months now. I also see a private tutor once a week or so. My goal is to be able to play along with others in a band within this year.

Everything funky and bluesy. Some all time favourites remain Type O Negative, Alice in chains, Juliette Lewis, Ray Charles, Michael Jackson, Jane's addiction, Judas Priest, Savage Rose, Etta James, Big mama Thornton, Prince
