What type of music do you play?

Yeah, that's really cool about the double bass technique. Sounds like you have a good grasp on how to go about teaching yourself. That's pretty much the way I did it too. I would practice and practice and practice. It takes a lot to master it. I find it's best when you think of it like this: you have to separate your feet from your hands. So, while your hands are doing one thing, concentrate on just your feet....if that makes since. That DW pedal is one of the best on the market. The red one, right? When I first started, I used a 7000. It was good, but the Iron Cobra is just so nice and smooth. :) Good luck with everything and thanks for posting on my page.

I forgot I had Little by Little on the site still.  That was with my first band.  My second band plays it, too, and fortunately I sound a bit better on it.  I have to purposely add fills because I haven't gotten to a point where there just fall out of my sticks (yet).  I love Tedeschi's music.  I end up playing a lot of blues which is good because my husband and I run a blues jam once a month locally.  Our lead singer has a really nice voice and sings some Tinsley Ellis and Tab Benoit, too.  Must've been a good year for drum thrones.  I got one for Christmas, too - the Roc N Soc one.  I felt like I would get in more practice with a comfortable throne to sit on.  So far, it hasn't made a difference in how much I practice lol but it's a new year, so I'm planning to dig in again.

Have a great day

So Frank - did you see the Jason Bittner clinic?  My husband & I saw his band play at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach last year.  I wasn't wild about the band, but his playing was phenomenal - very musical and high energy.  We didn't even mind that the kid taking our tickets looked at us and said, "you're not our usual audience for this kind of show."  I think that translated to "you guys are way too old" but we enjoyed it.  I also catch his column in a British drumming magazine whose name escapes me at the moment.  Hope you got to go.
