Drum thrones

Hi Everyone,
I am wondering what drum thrones you are using. I find many drum thrones to be a little uncomfortable ergonomically. The comparison I have is how men's bike seats just don't feel right. Often I feel like they are built with men's butts in mind, but are not really suited for women. Sometimes it feels it can impede my performance if its too distracting. Have any of you experienced this and what thrones have you used that have worked? I am considering building my own just to resolve this problem...

I finally decided to do some experimenting with the drum throne issue.  I am 4'8" tall and my legs are fairly short.  I had an old CB 700 drum throne and my feet didn't touch the floor.  In searcing for a solution I discovered that bicycle seats are a great alternative.  They fit perfectly on a 7/8" throne shaft.  The one I ended up getting was the Schwinn Stress Free bicycle seat, they also make one called the Schwinn No Pressure bicycle seat and they are practically the same thing.  The main difference is the material that covers the seat.  The Stress Free seat measures 11 1/4" L x 8" W  It seems small, but it works really well.  The main reason I'm posting this is for women of shorter stature that are looking for something low and comfortable that isn't offered by the 'industry.'  Here is a bird's eye photo of the seat:  And the best thing is that it's only $20, as long as you have an old throne to attach it to.

Follow up on my last post... The bicycle seat DID NOT last, but it was pretty good for a time.  I also ended up getting the Roc n soc and discovered that they make the base in three sizes, the shortest one was perfect for me.  I'm pretty sure RNS is the only company who offers this as an option, so they have my business from now on.  I can adjust it way down, and I'm 4'8".  Perfect!

I use the Pearl Roadster throne...it is SO awesome....I actually rented it cause I was looking for one with a back support but my music store had none at the moment so I rented this one and have never went back...It looks all funky with a dip in the seat ( for your spine) It's amazing!!!!!
