Do you prefer all girl bands?

I've been in two briefly (mgmt, prod. yada yada) nothing happenin' But if it didn't involve $$ or a chance to go big, would you prefer all ladies, or not. I won't go into my recent drama with a new all female band I just started, with but it seems to NOT be my cup of tea. Mainly due to the drama. I tend to get along better with a mixed band, or all guys. And of those mixed/guy bands/artists, I really had a better overall time, and felt I could be actual friends with them.

I've never been in a band,(although, i really want to!)
but i'd prefer a mixed/ all guys band because i generally get along with guys easier and i feel intimidated by girls (don't ask why... i have no idea) and girls can be a bit bitchy sometimes.... it'd make me feel very self concious.. heh

Hear hear! I've never been in a band either (would love to someday), but if I did I'd rather be in a mixed/all guys band. It would be more likely too, as I don't know any girl guitarists/bassists/singers, but I do know a few male ones.

I love my all girl band. Just got lucky and found the right people. (the right chemistry)...I'm not a girls girl, either. But I'm learning I could be. We're in this together, ya know???

I've tried to make all-girl bands several times. The last time was a year ago, because I wanted to find other talented female musicians who wanted to make extreme music with me. But it, along with the earlier attempts to make all-girl bands, I found it either difficult to keep the group going, have enough commitment, find real dedication (not just girls wanting to 'be in a band'), there was often drama or just a lack of effective communication and too much 'beating around the bush' to put it lightly...so I never succeeded in putting something workable together.

So basically, I prefer to be the only female.

Also, I enjoy grabbing all the attention ;)

But seriously, I'm in a band right now with two girls (including myself) and four guys, so it's a workable mix.

I wish I could find girls out here that I could jam with... My first band was all chicks and I think we got a lot of respect. After drumming with dudes for a few years it was kind of cool to hear what people say to you after playing a set... but still not as cool as hearing what they say when your ALL chicks... at least in my opinion. We should stick together.
